    1.New en-el2 digital camera battery come in a discharged condition and must be fully charged before use it. Upon initial use the nikon digital camera battery pack may require three to four charge/discharge cycles to reach its maximum rated capacity.

    2.When charging the en-el2 battery for the first time,the battery charger may indicate that charging is complete after just few minutes. Remove the battery from its charger and reinsert it.The charge cycle should begin again. This may happen several times during the first battery charge. Don't worry,it's perfectly normal for a rechargeable battery.

    3.Fully charging and then fully discharging ENEL2 nikon digital camera batteries at least once every two to three weeks.

    4.Storing the battery in a clean, dry, cool place,if the battery will not be in use for a month or longer.Don't store digital camera batteries completely discharged. A 50% charge is optimum for storage.
